University of Applied Sciences Wismar

Movable playboxes, a campus child day care centre and an adopt-a-granny scheme all help make Hochschule Wismar - University of Applied Sciences: Technology, Business and Design a welcoming place for its youngest academic visitors. While the youngsters enjoy themselves, mum and dad can study or carry out research at an international level.

Rostock University of Music and Drama

The cloister walls of perhaps the most beautiful of all university buildings in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern shelter an academic atmosphere bursting with creativity and stage presence. Some 500 students at the Rostock University of Music and Drama benefit from the first-class training here and are frequently awarded prizes and scholarships.

University of Applied Sciences Neubrandenburg

Small but excellent – that’s how Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences sees itself. Both the courses it offers, and the relationship between students and academic staff, are unique. There’s an almost familial atmosphere here, where the professors know the full names of all their students.

University of Applied Sciences Stralsund

Stralsund University of Applied Sciences is known as a young and dynamic campus university. And rightly so. The campus of the University, which was established in 1991, is situated in parkland. Located on the Strelasund estuary, it has a view of the island of Rügen and the Baltic Sea.

University of Rostock

Founded in 1419 with the Pope’s approval, Rostock is Germany’s third oldest university. There are more than 15,000 students enrolled here, taught by 300 professors. They’re in good company with Albert Einstein and Max Planck, who both received honorary doctorates here. 

University of Greifswald

In the seventeenth century, the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University of Greifswald was Sweden’s oldest university. Today, it stands above all for fusion research, plasma physics, and research into functional genomics, as well as for international cooperation in the Baltic Sea region.
